Photo of Key West Catamaran in GulfIn case you haven’t heard, we’ve got a brand new catamaran in the water at the Historic Seaport. It’s getting to the point where we have so many boats I can hardly keep up anymore. But this one is a beauty!

The Island Cat arrived recently as our new Island Adventure boat designed specifically for the unique needs of this special trip. If you haven’t been out with us on the Island Adventure yet, now is definitely the time. It’s officially my new favorite trip and the spring weather is the perfect time to enjoy it.

Running twice daily as a half day trip, you’ll snorkel at the reef, often at a spot that other’s rarely go to, thanks to our captains’ knowledge of the water and the boat’s low draft. Next, it’s a kayak excursion through the mangroves of the Gulf of Mexico’s backcountry. Our guides will tell you all about the unique ecosystem and then you can enjoy the salty, warm waters of a sandbar beach where you’ll find things like sea biscuits, conch shells and more. And of course, we’ll have plenty of Coronas and snacks to keep your energy fuels up.

The new Island Cat is a 45′ long Corinthian power catamaran with a 14′ beam and holds 49 passengers. We designed her specifically for this trip with a low draft so she can reach shallow waters with ease. She truly is a beauty and we hope to have you out on her soon!
