I have to say, I’ve got a lot of love for our Fury fans on Facebook right now! Last week’s Powerboat Races were an absolute blast. As usual, we were partying aboard the Key West Fury as an official turnboat for the races. Well, I do my best to capture the excitement with my camera, but I’m no pro. I made a simple request on our Facebook page for our fans to share their pix from the race. And, boy, did you guys ever!

I remembered Jim Winters from last year who posted a link to his Nikon Miami blog featuring some amazing up-close, action shots. He didn’t disappoint and shared his link with us again this year. But Jim wasn’t the only one! Sarah Brown posted some great, colorful shots featuring the race boats, as well as the helicopters that hover above them to catch all the action.

Ralph Hofer posted a handful of great pix, too, including a close-up of the Cintron boat ready to make its turn around our Fury catamaran. We can always count on Fury’s own Brenda Rief to share wonderful pictures with us, and she posted some great ones with the Fury cat front and center!

Later in the week, the conversation shifted to Captain Chuck Buck, a Fury fan favorite and true original. If you’ve been out on the Ultimate Adventure or the Commotion on the Ocean, chances are Chuck has been your captain. There are some great fan pix of Chuck up on our page, too, courtesy of Sarah Brown, Scott Stewart, and Kim Lunsford Schadle.

We always aim to make your Key West vacation memorable, and we definitely get a little thrill every time you share with us, whether it’s a picture or a special anecdote. Keep the conversation going and find us on Facebook and Twitter!
