We had the pleasure of hosting a very special Make-A-Wish guest at Fury Water Adventures. Patrick Zimmermann and his family, including his mom Cindy and father Steve, visited us from Parker, Colorado and joined us on the Dolphin Watch & Snorkel Tour on a beautiful October morning. Led by Captain Lisa and Anna, they embarked on their aquatic journey to see resident Key West dolphins swim and play in their natural environment. They even witnessed a one-month old baby dolphin!

Afterwards, they cruised to the Key West wildlife refuge where Patrick and his family snorkeled the shallow backcountry. Their location was ideal for seeing the magnificent marine life and the many inhabitants of the coral reef. Patrick was named Honorary Captain as he assisted Lisa at the helm, driving the boat throughout the trip.

In addition to their Fury trip, Patrick and his family visited the Dolphin Research Center, Florida Keys Eco-Discovery Center and the Mote Marine Laboratory in Summerland Key. Patrick saw a special feature about Wounded Warriors helping Mote Marine with their Coral Reef Restoration Project, which inspired him to visit and learn about their projects.

We would like to extend our gratitude to Patrick Zimmermann and his family, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and our awesome Fury crew. Check out some fun photos from Patrick’s trip below!
