Key West Powerboat Races

Powerboats racing in Key West.

November is here and that means two things: parrotheads and powerboats! We rocked the Commotion on the Ocean this weekend with a very special Meeting of the Minds sunset sail featuring singer/songwriter Thom Shepherd. Now, we’re gearing up for three days of racing excitement as the annual Key West World Championship Powerboat Races roar into town.

Of course, at Fury we like to be front and center for the action, and it’s become an annual tradition to participate in the races as an official turn boat. That’s right, one of our 65′ catamarans marks the course where these high-speed machines make their turn back onto the straightaway. It’s truly an impressive spectacle and the best seat in the house!

We keep the party festive with mimosas and a full bar, along with breakfast, lunch, and delicious snacks served all afternoon. The best part is, you’ve got three days of action to choose from, and for the true race enthusiast we offer package deals if you’d like to come aboard for two days or even all three. Join the party Wednesday November 7th, Friday November 9th, or Sunday November 11th. You’ll check in at 8am and we’ll leave the docks at 8:30am. You’ll be on board with us until approximately 3:30pm when the races for the day are finished.

We’re expecting a capacity crowd on the turn boat, so we’ve designated another catamaran as a viewing boat on the straightaway by Sunset Key. This way we can accommodate even more fans. If you’re ready to watch these impressive machines churn through Key West Harbor at speeds up to 100 mph, then you’ve gotta join us! Give us a call as soon as possible to secure your spot. We get excited for the Key West Powerboat Races every year and we hope to see you on board!
