Whew! What a weekend.
Holidays are always huge on the water in Key West, and especially holidays that kick off the unofficial start to summertime! We had quite the action-packed Memorial Day Weekend in Key West. With our ever-expanding fleet of catamarans, parasail boats, and jet ski tours, along with a huge variety of trips to choose from, we have more room for our guests than ever. And that’s a good thing, considering we sold out nearly all of our trips all weekend long!
With the Ultimate Adventure such a popular option and a great value, we’re accustomed to a crowd year round. It’s part of the fun! There’s nothing like spending all day on the water snorkeling, parasailing, banana boat rides, jet skiing, kayaking and more with family and friends, and of course the friendly Fury crew. Throw in breakfast, lunch, and all you can drink, and it’s a near perfect day! We often run two 10am Ultimate Adventures, and due to high demand over the three-day weekend, we added a 2pm late departure that sold out, as well.
It was a great weekend for our new boats and trips. The Island Adventure, Dolphin Watch, Double Dip, and jet skis were all near capacity. As usual, the Commotion on the Ocean rocked the sunset and the glass bottom boat shared the reef with many. I spent some time with Nicole at the check-in booth over the weekend, and the only thing available for our walk-up customers was parasailing. Between flying dockside and the Ultimate Adventure, all six of our parasail boats were in high demand, too.
It was quite the weekend for our crew, but we were prepared and everything went off without a hitch! To top it all off, we were treated to absolutely amazing weather. Aside from a brief rain shower on Saturday afternoon, the sun was shining bright and hot all weekend long. We’re looking forward to a long, hot summer in Key West. With so many great ways to enjoy the water surrounding us, why wouldn’t we? We hope you had a great Memorial Day Weekend. Here’s to summer!
