We’re recruiting volunteers to join us this Sunday October 7th, 2012 from 2:30pm to 6:30pm for a Key West beach and mangrove cleanup offshore at Boca Grande inside the National Wildlife Refuge.
At Fury, we’re dedicated to sustainable ecotourism and we’re happy to offer this chance to keep the waters that we love so dearly clean and free of pollution. As anyone who’s joined us on our Island Adventure tour knows, these mangrove and sandbar islands are an essential part of our marine ecosystem in the Keys providing nesting and breeding grounds for countless species of both fish and migratory birds.
During our cleanup on Sunday, we’ll be joined by staff from the US Fish & Wildlife Service and the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. They’ll help direct the cleanup efforts and be on hand to discuss the importance of the National Wildlife Refuge System.
So what do you say? Are you in? Join our crew and give us a call at 305-294-8899 to sign up. We’ll provide soda, water, and snacks to all participants during the course of the cleanup. Hope to see you there!
