Photo after proposal in Key West on Fury parasailing boat

Key West makes for a pretty romantic escape no matter what the occasion. It’s a world class destination wedding location and the site of countless honeymoons and wedding anniversary celebrations. It’s also a pretty epic destination for proposals. I remember watching the sunset at Mallory Square the first month that I moved here and witnessed a proposal happen right next to me.

At Fury, we’re proud to be a preferred vendor amongst wedding planners and we’ve hosted private charters for rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, cocktail hours, and the entire wedding. We even have a few captains licensed to officiate the ceremony! We’ve also had couples who’ve returned to a Fury cruise 16 years after they were married on our boats to celebrate anniversaries. Our boats have even proved to be a romantic and exciting place to plan a proposal.

About a month ago, the Ashline family joined Captain Marius for an afternoon of parasailing. They sent their daughter Brooke and her boyfriend Matt up in the parasail, and when they came back down, Matt got on one knee and proposed right on the stern! It was so sweet with her parents on the boat to witness.

Maybe parasailing is a true test of a couple’s relationship. If you can keep each other calm and enjoy the ride together, it’s got to bode well for your future life together! Congratulations to Brooke and Matt, and to their proud parents Kim and Craig. We’re touched that you made us apart of this very special moment in your lives. We hope to see you back in Key West soon!
