We had the great pleasure of hosting A Special Wish guest at Fury Water Adventures. On November 4th we were very excited to take Zoe Colletti, from New Jersey, and her family on our Double Dip Snorkel trip aboard Fury’s Reef Express. Zoe’s mother Cheryl, father Chris and brother Ian tagged along for all the fun!
Zoe and her family jumped aboard the Reef Express along with Captain Ryan and crew. Once they departed the dock, crew mates Lola and Anastasia educated everyone on how to properly use the snorkel equipment and some important facts about the coral reef. It was a quick trip to the first snorkel spot and on the way out they even spotted a few dolphins in their natural habitat.
When they reached the first snorkel stop, they fastened on all their snorkel gear and jumped right in! The water temperature was perfect and there were plenty of fish, Captain Ryan found the perfect spot! After the first dip, they hopped aboard and cruised to the next snorkel spot. Everyone hopped right in again and saw more fish and even a Moray Eel! Crew mates Lola and Anastasia were very helpful at teaching Zoe and her family about all the different fish and sea life. Did you know the Florida Keys is home to the only living coral reef in the continental United States and extends over 160 miles?
After swimming with all the fish and learning about the reef it was time for a smooth ride back to the dock. They soaked in the warm Caribbean sunshine and cooled off with the tropical breeze and complimentary beverages.
All of us at Fury Water Adventures would like to thank Zoe Colletti and her family, A Special Wish and our amazing Fury crew for making the day a hard one to forget!
