With Memorial Day behind us and summer in full swing, we’ve gotten the first round of families and groups of friends heading to Key West for summer vacation. A lot of these customers come to us off the cruise ships. Many of our guests were not only celebrating the start of summer, but also big events like high school or college graduation. It was fun working this week sharing with our customers this exciting time of life.

There were proud parents and siblings, and boisterous groups of friends. We had a whole group of girls from Alabama celebrating their high school graduation who were excited to be heading off to different colleges throughout the state. On one trip, the whole boat was full of graduates going to Clemson, Tennessee, and Georgia. The SEC definitely represented!

Being a Georgia alum, it was fun to talk football with these guys. My ten year high school reunion is coming up this fall. Hard to believe! Seeing this year’s graduating class and hearing them talk about their plans really brought back some great memories.

Summer is always an exciting time of year. It’s a time to celebrate, relax, and travel with friends and family. As fall approaches, it feels like an early start to the new year and it’s an excellent time to set goals and make a fresh start.

Congratulations to this year’s graduates! Have a great summer and a successful fall! We hope to see you on the water in Key West!
